dots.
An always-on agent with its own cloud computer and access to your plugins and context.
Powered by GPT-6 Astra, your dot proactively keeps your projects moving.
Here’s what developers can hand off to their dot:
– Triage recurring bug reports and feature requests across your connected apps.
– Scope failing builds and feature improvements around your priorities.
– Build and test changes with Codex, then bring back complete PRs for your review.
Open your dot’s cloud computer to inspect the work, or connect your own so it can work with your local files and code.
This is Ultrafast.
Our premium speed tier, Ultrafast offers up to 8x faster token generation (300 tokens per second) in Codex and up to 6x in the API. https://t.co/ekyzT1vFan
GPT-6.1 Sol is now available in Devin.
On FrontierCode 1.1, GPT-6.1 Sol scores 60.4%, in line with GPT-6 Sol (60.7%), but at a fraction of the cost. At medium reasoning effort, it costs $0.31 per task, 81% less than GPT-6 Sol at max effort. https://t.co/9RM1LtKMGO

What do you want from AI?
We’re launching a new study with Anthropic Interviewer to learn more about your experiences using AI, what role you want it to play in your life and the world, and what you want from the companies building it.
Last December, 81,000 people told us about their hopes and fears about AI in the largest qualitative study ever done. This time, we’re giving participants the option to make their responses public so that anyone, not just Anthropic, can learn from them.
What you tell us will shape The Anthropic Institute’s research and inform the decisions we make. If many people say companies like Anthropic should be doing something differently, that will be on the record, where anyone can point to it.
The study runs Sept 29 to Oct 6 and is open to Free, Pro, and Max users on Claude and Claude Code.

Codex Security Cloud is getting a major upgrade, with access to cyber-capable models through Daybreak Blue included by default.
It scans entire GitHub repos, continuously reviews new commits, investigates and deduplicates findings, and prepares fixes for review – even when your laptop is closed.
Available as a plugin in Codex desktop and web.
I'm at OpenAI's DevDay event in San Francisco today - as I have for the past three DevDay events, I'm running a live blog where I'll be posting updates during the keynote, which starts in five minutes https://t.co/X9DLSS0xbR

Ultrafast is available today for GPT-6 Astra in Codex, ChatGPT Work, and the API, with GPT-6.1 Sol coming soon.
To access it in Codex and ChatGPT Work, we’re introducing Pro 500—a new plan with our highest usage limits (25x Plus) and access to Ultrafast.
https://t.co/AjmAVwyUQI
Dots will be available in ChatGPT on web, mobile, and desktop across Pro, Business Premium, and Enterprise users in eligible markets.
To get started, create your first dot in the ChatGPT desktop app or your desktop browser, connect your apps, and let it introduce itself.
Send text or images as context. For example, supply a support request and the teams it could go to. The API returns a selection your app can use.
Preview access is limited to selected API customers for testing. Broad release planned in the coming days:

You always stay in control. Set boundaries and specify what your dot can do on its own, when it should ask first, and what it should never do.
Safety is built in. You choose which apps to connect, and your dot runs on its own cloud computer—so connecting yours is entirely optional.

Devin for @MongoDB Modernizations is here. Devin handles the legacy code changes while MongoDB AMP moves and validates the data. Customers can reach production faster, freeing engineers to build great software and solve hard problems.

Usage in Devin counts toward the Codex and ChatGPT Work usage already included in your plan. You can let Devin use all of it, or set a lower limit for Devin in your settings.
OpenAI models are part of the model mix Devin Cloud uses in Lite, Normal, Ultra, and Fusion modes. Once you connect your ChatGPT account, your plan pays for the OpenAI-model share of each session while other models draw down from your included Devin quota.
By combining Astra on your ChatGPT plan with SWE-2 on your Devin plan, your quota can go further than ever before.
Placeholder data is easy. Real data is where designs break. 😅

Codex cloud environments are rolling out to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise.
In Business and Enterprise workspaces, you can share environments so your whole team can work from the same setup.
Just select a cloud environment when you start a task, wherever you use Codex, and get to work.

📣 @OpenAIDevs GPT-6.1 Sol is now generally available in GitHub Copilot.
You can use it for agentic coding and terminal workflows with strong multistep coding performance. In early testing, it reliably completed tasks while using noticeably fewer tokens and steps than earlier models in the GPT-6 and GPT-5.6 families.
Try it out in the GitHub Copilot app, CLI, and @code.
https://t.co/wvVNF0MbzQ
GPT-6.1 Sol shows major improvements over GPT-6 Sol in our alignment evaluations, bringing it more in line with GPT-6 Astra.
It’s more transparent about its limitations and more reliable at respecting user intent and safety constraints. https://t.co/1XWstBUXpW

There’s a lot more for builders packed into the Codex CLI update:
– /usage for activity and usage analytics
– New themes to choose from with /theme
– Support for managed worktrees
– Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX rendered directly in the terminal
– Collapsible diffs and tool output
– Dedicated areas for status, hints, and keyboard shortcuts
We’re also reopening Pro 200 subscriptions, with continued access to frontier models like Astra, including our new GPT-6.1 Sol model which brings near-Astra capabilities to a model you can use every day.
Our commitment is that your subscription will continue to help you get more work done with an increasing level of quality.
We are also committing to not reintroducing the 5hr limit so that you can fully use your weekly usage when you want.
On deliberately difficult factuality prompts, GPT-6.1 Sol reduces responses containing factual errors by about 32% versus GPT-6 Sol at low reasoning effort.
In our automated safety review evaluation, we observed no attempts to bypass the safety reviewer. https://t.co/2J5RpIvLNb
On AutomationBench, GPT-6.1 Sol scores 31.7% at medium reasoning effort, up 4.8 percentage points from GPT-6 Sol at the same setting.
On OSWorld 2.0’s offline set, it scores 71.4% versus Astra’s 73.5%, both at maximum reasoning effort, at roughly one-seventh of Astra’s cost per task.
The bigger change is at the low end. At low effort, GPT-6.1 Sol scores 58.1% for $0.21 per task, up from 50.5% for GPT-6 Sol at the same setting.
That's the highest score of any model under $0.30 per task on the leaderboard.

Trajectories in LangSmith are a chronological, human-readable view of an agent session.
✅ Every run rolls into a trace, and traces from a session link into a thread: the full execution tree, nested runs and all.
✅ A trajectory strips that out, keeping each message once, in order, so you read the session as the path the agent took.
Making your interview public is completely optional. Our blog post covers the benefits and possible risks of doing so.

The Studio That Refused to Be One Thing | Tonic DNA
Four decades. An Oscar. A studio identity that has never depended on a single style.
In our latest Studio Stories, partner and executive producer Stefanie Bitton takes us inside Montreal’s Tonic DNA, from oil painted animation for IMAX to Bugs Bunny, original storytelling, and AI tools developed with its artists.
She talks about protecting creative independence, why 2D never needed a comeback, and the film that still makes her cry. Through every change, the people and the standard of the work remain central.
As Motionographer® turns twenty, a conversation with a studio twice our age offers a welcome perspective on what it takes to keep going, and keep changing.
