defining a new category: phone-use
an mcp/api that gives ai agents their own phones
cloud phones. real androids. real iphones.
tell your agent what to do, and it can operate a phone just like you do.

OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites.
Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors.
Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact.
This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare.

GPT-Rosalind surfaced a new lead for drug discovery: could restoring cholesterol transport protect neurons from degeneration?
DCTN1 is a gene linked to Perry syndrome, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. In mouse-brain data, disrupting it increased expression of genes involved in making cholesterol. GPT-Rosalind suggested a possible explanation: cholesterol may not be reaching where neurons need it.
That gives scientists a specific mechanism to test and, if confirmed, a direction for developing new treatments for neurodegenerative disorders.
With @perturbai_tx and @scrippsresearch, a team of thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents worked in parallel, connecting gene-expression results from millions of mouse brain cells with scientific literature in just 32 minutes. We’re now expanding this collaboration to identify new drug targets.

i retired from the business of making single-stock calls a decade ago but trust me when i say that the stock market still has no idea that what happened
every single gpu sold gained ~30% in lifetime value today and the stock should be up by about $600B lol
the more you buy, the more you buy

When we framed @trq212's pod about Claude Code's Next Era, we meant it.
we took some directive from @_catwu and did a proper deep dive on the new Claude Mods and highilghted our faves and what you should try now.
in the same way that LLMs had that evolution from specific -> foundation -> specific, CC is much more of a malleable, general purpose hardened harness that has "pretrained" on quadrillions of tokens of learning that you can now repurpose for any domain specific harness!

highly recommend everyone to have private alt accounts*. the x web is bad at account switching, but on mobile it is frictionless. its basically the same "group chat but its ok if you dont read everything" experience but for your mutuals.
tips
- assume everything is public, screenshotting is real, dont be stupid. this is not the "i shit talk people behind their back", the right attitude is "this isnt high signal enough for my main account but i'm 1) taking notes for self, 2) have a throwaway thought, 3) i'm happy to chat about it"
- give mutuals critical feedback that they might appreciate. "praise in public, criticise in private". because its not public, they know you actually do mean well
- link/replyguy your alt for people to discover periodicially in case they dont know you have one
* i like it so much that i call this the "insta/finsta" pattern - every social network should by default give people a public profile and a private one by default. tbd on the third account, the "botsta".
🚀 The latest @code release makes the Copilot SDK-based harness the default for new sessions, adds model comparisons, and brings a file list to multi-file diffs.

In the same mouse-brain dataset, GPT-Rosalind found a possible clue to why TSC2 mutations tend to cause more severe tuberous sclerosis than TSC1 mutations.
The two genes work together to regulate mTOR. Yet in one group of cerebellar neurons, disrupting TSC2 changed the expression of dozens of genes, including genes involved in neuronal communication. Disrupting TSC1 had little effect on gene expression in the same cell type.
Existing treatments already target mTOR. Do they reverse these changes, or is there more to TSC2’s role in these neurons?
The orchestrator turns a conversation into multiple intents by exploring the users’ possible needs.
